Overview

Product sets are used to group products for assigning commissions, discounts, and report filtering in the Shopthru Portal.

Default Product Set Overview

Each retailer in the Shopthru Portal has a default product set, collecting all unassigned imported products. It can be identified by “(default)” in the Name column, and some details like name, description, and commission rate can be edited. We recommend setting a commission for this set as a fallback for other commission rules.

Product Set Information

When creating or editing a product set, fill in: Name (required), Partner Facing Name (required), Description (optional), Partner Facing Description (optional), and Commission Rate (required). Partner Facing fields provide partner-friendly details visible in their product set list.

1. Go to Products and select Product Sets.
2. Click Edit on the default product set.

3. Complete the form and enter the commission rate.

4. Submit the form and check the data on the product set page or in the list.

Assigning Products to Product Sets

Products can be added to product sets during import or at any time afterwards. To move multiple products, use the Select feature on the My Products page to choose products for a different set. For individual products, click the button next to the product set name.

During the import process, you can assign all products to a single product set by selecting the desired set name in the import form. All imported products will be grouped under the selected set.

Bulk Product Set Reassigning for Existing Products

The Shopthru portal provides tools for efficiently reassigning products to different product sets. To access these, navigate to the Tools page and refer to the Product Tools section.

To assign existing products to different product sets in bulk using a CSV file:

1. Download your current product data or use a structured CSV file.
2. Add a product_set column and specify the desired set for each SKU.
3. Ensure that both the products and the target product sets already exist in the portal.
4. Upload the file using the Sort existing products to different product sets via CSV tool.

If you wish to reassign all imported products to a single product set:

• Use the Move all products to a different product set button.
• Clicking this button will open a pop-up where you can select the new product set.
• Once confirmed, all products will be updated accordingly.

Product Set Commission Rates

Commission rates are set per product set with a base rate, which can be overridden for individual publishers at the partnership stage. When requesting or approving a partnership, you will review the product sets and commission rates for that publisher.

Product set commission overrides can be viewed on the My Partners page under the partner's details.
