Overview
Commission rates are calculated as a percentage of the total sales value before VAT and delivery. Most rates are based on the product set base rate or an override rate for a specific publisher. Commission rules let you override rates at a granular level, offering selective rates for specific products or special offers for a limited time.
Managing Commission Rules in the Shopthru Portal
All commission rules can be found under Partners > Commission Rules in the navigation. To add or edit a commission, complete the required fields in the form.
- Commission Rule Name
- Enable the Commission Rule – If disabled, the commission will not apply.
- Commission Rule Description
- Commission Rule Priority – The highest priority is 1. If multiple commissions apply to the same product, the one with the highest priority takes effect.
- Commission Rule Percent
- Partner Scope – Can be set as global or publisher. Global applies the commission to all partners, while Publisher lets you specify which partner the commission applies to.
- Product Scope – Can be set as global or product-specific. Global applies the commission to all products, while product-specific allows you to select which products the commission applies to by adding the SKUs.
- Active From – The date the commission becomes active. The default is "today.”
- Active To – The date the commission becomes inactive. If left empty, the commission remains active until disabled.
